Tied Up in Knots {Third Trimester Fashion}

As soon as I looked back at these photos, all I could do was laugh. I honestly can’t believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by, or how HUGE my belly has gotten seemingly overnight. Not gonna lie… it took me a minute to get used to my changing body. But it definitely helps that I’m already in love with this tiny squirmy little human that’s growing inside me.

On this particular day, I was meeting my husband for lunch and wanted to wear something a little sassy. So I squeezed myself into this red dress (that fit very differently two months ago!) and a pair of heels… which I promptly swapped out for sneakers before heading out the door.

The Non-Maternity Maternity Dress I’m LIVING in Lately…

To be honest, shopping for maternity clothes hasn’t been as fun as I thought it would be. Most items are ridiculously overpriced – especially considering the quality, or lack thereof. I’ve also struggled to find items that still fit in with my personal style. Luckily, Old Navy has come through for me with the dress you see above. It’s non-maternity, so I just went up a size or two to accomodate my growing belly. It comes in both a long sleeve and sleeveless version and a plethora of colors and prints. I’m pretty sure I’m up to at least 5 or 6 different iterations at this point.

About the Fit:
This dress is non-maternity, so I got a few one size up in second trimester and a few two sizes up that I’m just now starting to fill out now that I’m 30 weeks along.  I’d say the fit is true-to-size, if not a little large for you ladies who aren’t currently knocked up. The length hits just a couple of inches above the knee on my 5’7 frame.

Crazy for Stripes

I’m all smiles in these photos, but in reality, I’m slightly freaking out because I’m finally in my third trimester. I can’t believe how quickly the time is flying by. I’ve been busy working, napping, and getting prepared for the baby – but mostly napping, lol! Who knew growing a tiny human could be so exhausting?! In any case, my client projects are finally starting to wind down in preparation for maternity leave. So I hope to put up more blog posts soon.

In the meantime, be sure to check out my instastories for daily outfit updates and other happenings.
