Classic Looks That Never Go Out of Style…

{UNIQLO Trench, J. CREW Cardigan, MADEWELL Jeans, G.H. BASS ‘Weejuns’ Loafer, H&M Beret, PUCCI Scarf, ZARA Handbag}

This outfit is made out of simple classics that never go out of style. While I’m a gal that definitely loves to experiment and have fun with her wardrobe – time and time again I always see myself veering back towards the classic. When all else fails, you can never go wrong with a soft cardigan, a well-fitting pair of jeans and a crisp tailored trench coat. There’s just something about this look that screams quietly whispers “elegance”. To jazz things up a bit, I paired it with two additional classic pieces that I always keep in my wardrobe: a wool beret and a chiffon neck scarf.

Is your style more trendy or classic? What are some of your favorite classic pieces? Let me know in the comments.

Let’s give it up one time for the birthday girl!

I wore this outfit recently to celebrate my birthday. It was a pretty low-key affair – Eric, Christian and I went out for a dinner at one of my favorite steakhouses – Porter House in Columbus Circle. Believe it or not, I used to shy away from animal prints. But baby, look at me now! I spotted this dress at H&M recently, and I liked it so much that I purchased thrice – in 3 different prints. What can I say, I like what I like.

I originally paired this outfit with red ankle boots, but as I was getting ready, I spied these delicious leopard print booties collecting dust at the top of my wardrobe and decided to throw them on instead. To break up the leopard print, I added a pair of slouchy black socks and quite like the way this look turned out.
