When everything old seems new again…

I went to high school in the 90s, and one of the must-have items on every spoiled kids wishlist at the time was a Coogi sweater. Now back then, my parents were not about to spend several hundred dollars on a sweater for their teenager (and rightly so, lol!) no matter how many straight-A report cards I brought home. So I just admired the trend from afar. In any case, when I recently ran across this Rag & Bone x Coogi skirt on the clearance rack, I was initially amused and tried it on just for fun. But once I looked in the mirror, I really started to dig it. I love how it hugs my curves in all the right places, and the texture and pattern are rather unique.

I love it when fashion comes full circle like this. What are some trends from your high school days that you would still rock today? Let me know in the comments.

This past weekend, I wanted to wear something cozy and a little bit sassy. My fluffy shearling vest paired with over-the-knee boots fit the bill perfectly and made for a great casual fall outfit.

So this turned out to be an awkward photo shoot…

Ever since the clocks switched back, evening photo shoots have become virtually impossible. So I’ve resorted back to the good old days with my tripod and remote. I’d scouted out the perfect spot beforehand. And lo and behold, guess what I saw when I got there…

Two other bloggers doing a photo shoot! This of course escalated into a vicious turf war with purses, heels and hashtag epithets flying everywhere.

Ok, not so much. We mostly just tried to awkwardly avoid each other, and it was pretty comical. In my 5+ years of blogging, that’s never happened before.  I guess I need to get a little more creative with my photo-taking spots!
