As a self-professed shoe addict, I’ve  been a long time fan of Zappos because of their wide selection of merchandise (they carry over 150,000 styles from more than 1,000 brands!) and outstanding customer support. In fact, my very first purchase from them was for my wedding almost 10 years ago, and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since.

Zappos describes itself first and foremost as a customer service company – one that just so happens to sell shoes, clothing and accessories – and I couldn’t agree more. I called the Zappos customer service line with a quick question about sizing before placing my order online, and they were extremely helpful and thorough with their response. I was super-anxious to try out my new items, so I was pretty stoked when my package arrived just 3 days after ordering.

Since my previous pair of go-to skinny jeans had taken a beating after almost 3 years of continuous wear, I was excited to slip into Paige’s Skyline Skinnies in Carson (a broken-in indigo blue wash). I fell in love immediately and will finally be putting my old jeans out to pasture in favor of these.  Ankle boots are a staple in my wardrobe this time of year, and I was drawn to the ‘Smoke’ Ankle Bootie from Freebird because of the interesting cutout detail at the heel. It also doesn’t hurt that their gorgeous deep tan color goes with just about anything.

I put this outfit together for my recent trek to the new FDR Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island.  Fall has always been my favorite season, and this year I’ve been taking lots of long walks around the city to watch the leaves turn and bundling up in cozy layers every chance I get. Yesterday was the perfect crisp autumn day,  so it was nice to put on a new outfit and venture off with my tripod in tow to soak up the amazing views. Thanks so much to Zappos for keeping a gal stylish! And be sure to check out their site to stock up on all your fall fashion needs!

Last month, I was whisked away to sunny Florida for a quick business trip (with a bit of pleasure mixed in). The conference schedule was pretty jam-packed, but I was able to squeeze in a quick photo shoot by strategically placing my camera around the hotel room.

Stay tuned for my easy packing tips for business travel!

To be quite honest, Forever 21 isn’t exactly the first store that comes to mind when I’m hunting for skirts with a modest hemline. But surprisingly, they’ve been killing it lately with midi length skirts in a variety of textures and styles. I was passing through a couple of weeks ago when I spotted this lively floral skirt, and I’ve been twirling around in it nonstop ever since.  I’m heading back to stock up on more skirts for fall, and below are some of my top picks (all under $25!).
