Hey, peeps!
As I alluded to last week, I recently ventured down the Walgreens beauty aisle to pick up a few items for creating my Valentine’s Day look. Check out my latest video for a few makeup tips and a step-by-step breakdown of how I get all glammed up for night out on the town.
And for those of you who don’t have time for the video, here’s a quick rundown of the Walgreens products I used.
First up was Garnier’s 5 Sec Blur skin primer. I’d only used primer occasionally before, but I’m now a HUGE believer. It glides on easily and instantly made my naturally oily skin feel smooth and soft. You can use it with or without makeup for a more even skin tone. Now, this stuff won’t perform miracles, but I did see a noticeable improvement in my pores and skin texture when I applied it.
This might be my new favorite mascara. I mentioned in the video that Rimmel Scandaleyes is one-third the cost of my regular costs, but upon further investigation it’s more like one-fifth of the price (even better!). In any case, I love the mod vibe this mascara gave me. It lengthens and separates like a champ with NO CLUMPING!
When it comes to naturally rosy cheeks, maybe I was born with it, or maybe it’s Maybelline’s Master Hi-Light blush. I’ll let you guys decide. The color looks a lot lighter in the photos, but the #30 Coral I purchased is actually a much darker pink shade in person. It has a subtle pearlescent sheen that I love and makes your skin glow when you put it on.
The beauty aisles at Walgreens are stocked with just about everything a gal could want. It took every ounce of willpower not to fill my basket with even more goodies!
Here’s my final look after applying some red lipstick!
