As sophisticated as I like to think I am, I’m still pretty much just a big ‘ol kid at heart. For instance, I’m happiest when I’m wearing head-to-toe pink. Throw in a pair of sparkly shoes, and I’m positively giddy!

Closet Confection: Watercolors Around the Water Cooler

It’s starting to feel like summer in my neck of the woods, but it’s always freezing on the subway and in the office. That’s why I like to keep a cozy sweater or wrap on hand. I received this one from Sammy Dress, and I’ve been wearing it nonstop. It’s perfect for lounging around the house and snuggling up on the couch, and even better for keeping warm at my desk while the AC blasts overhead. I picked up this watercolor print dress at a Zara clearance sale a few seasons ago, and I’ve worn it six ways ’til Sunday ever since.

Closet Confection: Pink and Black Stripes

I’ve sauntered into Joe Fresh on several occasions but always left empty-handed. The colorful items in the display window always drew me in, but I never felt compelled enough to pull the trigger and make a purchase. But that all changed the other day while I was doing a bit of window-shopping during my lunch break. As luck would have it, they were having a major sale, and I snagged this pink and black striped confection for $19! It’s made from a substantial, crisp cotton that works great for the office as well the weekend. Something tells me I’ll be rocking this baby all summer long.

And look at how cleverly I’ve hidden my bandaged knee (if you missed the story, you can check it out here) in these photos? Pretty sneaky, right?!
