To be quite honest, Forever 21 isn’t exactly the first store that comes to mind when I’m hunting for skirts with a modest hemline. But surprisingly, they’ve been killing it lately with midi length skirts in a variety of textures and styles. I was passing through a couple of weeks ago when I spotted this lively floral skirt, and I’ve been twirling around in it nonstop ever since. I’m heading back to stock up on more skirts for fall, and below are some of my top picks (all under $25!).

We’ve been having gorgeous weather this fall, so I’ve been jumping at every opportunity to head outside and soak up nature. Eric and I took a trip to Dutchess County and spent the day petting goats, meandering through vineyards, and visiting antique shops. There may have been a wine tasting thrown in there too. For our little excursion, I went with classic fall basics: a tweed blazer, down vest, corduroy dress, and comfy boots. The temperature fluctuated throughout the day, so I’m glad that I was able to add and remove layers as needed.
