Hi Guys!

I’m currently on vacation, and you can follow me on the ‘gram to stay up-to-speed on my adventures. In the mean time, here are a few snaps that I took in the city before heading out. There’s nothing I love better in the summer than simple white eyelet dresses (except maybe icecream!), and I’m in love with this one that I recently scooped up off the clearance rack at Ann Taylor. It’s currently on sale for an additional 50% off, so be sure to check out Ann Taylor’s site for other goodies as well!

{Liv Off-the-Shoulder Dress, Lanvin Sandals, Louis Vuitton Handbag, Salvatore Ferragamo Sunglasses, Forever 21 Ear Jackets (I’m obsessed! Check out more options here), Haylee Jewels Necklace}

I spent Saturday afternoon doing one of my favorite things in the city: visiting my old college campus! My husband and I met on the very first day of orientation, so this place holds tons of special memories for us. The heat and humidity were absolutely stifling this weekend, so I was very grateful for this gauzy off-the-shoulder dress. I felt like such a southern belle while wearing it. For an easy effortless look, I decided to pair it with barely-there sandals and oversized sunglasses. I generally shy away from piling on a ton of accessories when it’s hot, so I went with a simple diamond pendant and my dainty new ear jackets that I’m completely in love with (seriously, you should get a pair)!

Easy Entertaining: Rooftop Brunch with a Punch!

This time of year, Eric and I love to escape to our secluded rooftop to enjoy our meals every chance we get. We spent the first year of our marriage cramped into a teeny tiny apartment on the Upper East Side that looked out onto a dark and dingy shaft, so now we count our lucky stars that we can enjoy such amazing waterfront views whenever we want. I’ve had my girlfriends over countless times for champagne rooftop brunches, and it’s become one of my favorite ways to entertain.

On this particular occasion, I decided to treat my husband to one of his favorite meals: spaghetti carbonara! It takes less than 30 minutes to make using this recipe (I prefer to use thin spaghetti or angel hair pasta), and is always sure to please. And to wash it all down, I broke out the champagne stems and made Ruby Mimosas using Smirnoff Ruby Red Grapefruit. I can’t even begin to tell you how good it all was. This will definitely be my go-to-spread the next time I have guests over for brunch.
