The lovely folks at Lilly Pulitzer sent me this gorgeous top and beach tote right as I was heading out for vacation. I wasn’t able to put them to much use in Alaska, but they were perfect for lounging around the pool on a hot summer day. Nothing screams summer quite like colorful Lilly prints, and below are some of my favorites…

This past weekend, Eric and I headed to the pool for some much-needed R&R. Because we don’t have any tropical vacations planned anytime soon, I decided to bring the islands to us with my festive Cabana Boy Punch made with Smirnoff Strawberry. This punch was super-easy to make, and soooooo delicious! Seriously, I think this was my best batch yet. And if you’re headed to the pool or beach this summer, I highly recommend whipping up a batch of this stuff beforehand (just remember to only drink it after you’re done swimming… mmm-kay?!).

I’m still off galavanting in Alaska, but I wanted to take time for a quick outfit post. I’m always out and about in the city on the weekends, and carrying around a big cumbersome bag can be such a burden. That’s why I’ve been on the hunt all summer for the perfect crossbody bag. I stumbled across this one a few weeks back and finally bit the bullet once the dropped 50%! Trust me, it was definitely money well spent. I’ve been carrying it with me nonstop, and I love how it’s compact, yet still manages to fit all of my stuff.
