I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect camel wool trench coat for quite a while now, and I think I’ve finally found the one! I instantly feel so chic and sophisticated whenever I put it on, and I can tell this one’s gonna be a keeper for years to come! I wore this outfit out to brunch recently (more deets on THAT coming up shortly), and got tons of compliments.

On our last day in the Adirondacks, I couldn’t have asked for more picture-perfect weather. The temps climbed to a warm and sunny 70-degrees, so we shed our sweaters and happily frolicked through apple orchards and corn mazes before making our way back to the city. This easy geometric print dress from H&M has quickly become a wardrobe staple as of late, and I’ve got it in three prints now (see my favorite one here). It matches almost perfectly with my new scarf, as luck would have it, so don’t be surprised if you see this combo again… and perhaps again on the blog!

On Day 2 of my birthday weekend in the Adirondacks, Eric and I were up bright and early for the drive up to Lake Placid to catch the morning fall foliage train to Saranac Lake. The views were absolutely stunning along the way, and we had such a great time exploring the little town on our arrival. Our first was brunch at The Left Bank Cafe where we tucked into a crepes and hot chocolate. Afterwards, we did a bit of window-shopping and took a carousel ride before hopping on the train to head back to Lake Placid.

Next, we were back on the road headed to Whiteface Mountain. Once there, we took the Cloudsplitter Gondola Ride up the mountain for more spectacular views and to spend some time venturing around the mountain’s peak. We made our way back to homebase early in the evening to freshen up and change for dinner at The Sagamore Club Grill Steakhouse for a relaxing birthday dinner.
