Hooray {or Nay} for Stirrup Leggings?

{ZARA Bell Sleeve Jacket, J. CREW Striped Turtleneck, H&M Stirrup Pants, CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL Tote, MANOLO BLAHNIK Pumps}

I’m officially on the bell sleeve bandwagon with no signs of getting off anytime soon. The snow has slowly started to melt, so I’m enthusiastically swapping out all my winter coats for fresh and colorful lightweight spring jackets like this one. As soon as I tried it on, I knew I just had to have it. I mean who could resist this fire-engine red show-stopper? Since the coat makes such a statement, I decided to keep the rest of my outfit pretty simple with a striped turtleneck and black stirrup leggings. Speaking of stirrups…

Bell Sleeves on Belle Isle

Belle Isle, Detroit, Floral Bell Sleeve Dress

Belle Isle, Detroit, Floral Bell Sleeve Dress

{ZARA Bell Sleeve Dress, FOREVER 21 Fedora, LOUIS VUITTON ‘Neverfull’ Tote, VINCE CAMUTO Ankle Boots}

Camel Coat + Tiger Print Sweater

{ANNE KLEIN Camel Coat (similar), H&M Tiger Print Sweater (similar), Leather Gloves and Earrings, RALPH LAUREN Riding Pants & Bucket Bag, VINTAGE Wool Beret, ALDO Booties}

True-story: I haven’t owned a pair of sweats since college. So when I feel the need to be cozy and casual, my go-to uniform looks something like this. This sweater is easily the comfiest thing in my closet right now, and I wore this exact outfit on a flight recently. The security agent even stopped me to ask where I got it (she at least waited until after my pat-down). I paired it with these super-soft leggings (that I also own in black) for the ultimate in comfort. Not gonna lie… I’ve probably worn this outfit once or twice a week for the past month and a half.
