It’s FINALLY starting to feel like fall around these parts, and I’m so excited. I haven’t jumped on the Pumpkin Spiced Latte bandwagon quite yet, but I did enjoy dusting off my boots and leather jacket for a little romping around the city this weekend. Can I tell you guys how excited I am that the 70s trend is in full swing this season?! I usually sit by on the sidelines while fashion trends come and go, but this one has my full support! I missed the 70s by a smidge (80s baby over here, lol!), but I think this style era is my secret spirit animal. When I spotted this dress at H&M a few weeks ago, I had to have it. Yes, it kinda looks like my granny’s old sofa, but that’s what I love about it! Since the dress makes quite the statement on it’s own, I decided to pair it with simple accessories, like these earrings and bracelet I received on loan from Rocksbox.

What’s Rocksbox, you say?

Rocksbox is a premium jewelry subscription service that gives you unlimited access to rent from an ever-rotating closet of designer jewelry! Think of it like Netflix for accessories! Each package contains 3 pieces of designer jewelry, worth an average of $200 per set, and you can exchange your Rocksbox set anytime and as often as you like.

The cost is normally $19/month, but as a lovely reader of mine, you can get your first month FREE with code closetconfectionsxoxo!

Fall may officially start tomorrow, but I’m still stuck in a summer state of mind. Is it just me, or does this year seem to be flying by?! I’ll be reluctantly making my fall wardrobe switch over the next couple of weeks, but it’s still so lovely to sit back and reminisce about my trip to Cape Cod earlier this month.

After our EPIC Alaska vacation, I thought we were done traveling for a while. But that was only until I found an amazing deal on JetBlue – just $200 roundtrip for 2 people to fly out of JFK into Cape Cod! We had an amazing time relaxing, chowing down on seafood, and enjoying the Cape in the slightly off-season. The weather was gorgeous, and not nearly as crowded as it is during the height of summer. We stayed at the SeaCoast Inn in Hyannis which was just a 5-minute walk from the ferry port and served as the perfect launching point for day trips to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard.

On this particular day, we rented a car and drove up to Provincetown to explore the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore on one of Art’s Dune Tours. We had a fantastic time playing in the sand, learning about the local artist shack residency program, and sampling a few wild berries along the way! I somehow allowed Eric talk me into climbing the 252-foot tower at Pilgrim Monument, but the incredible views up top more than made up for the trek. Afterwards, we settled in for a cozy romantic dinner at The Red Inn before heading back to Hyannis.

More details about the rest of our trip coming up soon!
