I simply adore short-sleeve sweaters (and own about half a dozen or so), but they’re not always practical.  Usually if it’s cold enough for a sweater, I also like my arms to be covered.  And if it’s warm enough for bare arms, I typically don’t want to wear a sweater. Do you see my dilemma?

Alas, there’s really only a thin temperature range (~60-70°F) within which I’m truly comfortable wearing my short-sleeve sweaters. Luckily for me, spring has officially sprung in the Big Apple, and the temps over the next few weeks will fall exactly within my ideal range.  I must say that I’m looking forward to having my cake and eating it too.

And as impractical as they may be, here are a few more sweaters of the short-sleeved variety that I wouldn’t mind adding to my collection:

One step forward, two steps back…

At least that’s how it seems weather-wise.  No your eyes do not deceive you. Yesterday, I was singing spring’s praises. And in today’s outfit, I’m back in thick tights and a furry snood.

Spring has finally sprung (sorta), or at least it feels like it when I wear tons of bright colors.  I wore this outfit to work last week, and it was quite the topic of conversation (in a good way, of course).  It’s really nothing ground-breaking: just a pencil skirt and a simple v-neck tee, but the colors really make it sing.  Since the colors in my outfit were so bold, I decided to go big or go home with my accessories as well, and piled on a few of my favorite gold baubles.  You may recall this chain necklace from my kinda-sorta DIY tutorial a while back.  I love the way it looks layered with a more delicate gold necklace, and it’s a combo I’ve been reaching for regularly before I dash out of the door.
