New York City can get all kinds of crazy during the holiday season, so Eric and I decided to beat the crowds and get outta dodge by taking the train over to Philadelphia for a few days. Our typical New Year’s celebrations consist of pj’s and old movie reruns, but this year we decided to dust off our fancy threads and head out for a night on the town. We had tons of fun checking out the fireworks display and enjoying a romantic dinner for two before taking a late night stroll back to our hotel.

Stay tuned for more pics and tips from our Philly trip!

Hello, Lovelies!

I know I’ve been MIA for a while, but that’s because I’ve been busy enjoying the holidays and plotting out my goals for 2015. Hopefully, you’ve been keeping me up with me on Instagram where I try to stay more current on my comings and goings.

Eric and I are packing up for a quick New Year’s getaway. But before I jet off, I just have to let you guys know about Brooks Brothers ah-mazing semi-annual sale that’s going on RIGHT NOW! I’ve collected many items from them over the years, and they have all stood the test of time.  I’m especially enamored with their Red Fleece contemporary line (which is where I got this adorable hound-print skirt). And I’m equally quite smitten with their Black Fleece collection designed by 2006 CFDA award-winner Thom Browne (plus I can’t wait for the release of the Spring 2016 designed by Zac Posen!). If you’re looking for classic, well-made pieces that will hold up over time, then you really can’t go wrong with any of the items currently on sale. I’ve included a roundup of a few of my favorites below for your viewing pleasure.

Happy Shopping!

Zappos Holiday Fashion {Featuring Freebird & Paige Premium Denim}

In partnership with Zappos, I styled my Paige jeans and Freebird boots for a cozy holiday look (you can take a peak at how I styled them for fall here).

Between attending various Christmas parties and getting work-related tasks wrapped up before vacation, things can get extremely hectic this time of year. This outfit was perfect for a day of power-shopping around the city as I tried to get all of my holiday gifts taken care of in one go. These ‘Smoke’ ankle booties from Freebird held their own while pounding the Manhattan pavement, and  my ‘Skyline’ skinnies from Paige have held their shape nicely after multiple wearings over the past month.

When the temps took a nosedive recently, I immediately went back to the Zappos website and zeroed in on this Calvin Klein  maxi coat.  With their fast and free shipping, it arrived just in time for the cold snap  and makes me feel like I’m wrapped in a warm (but stylish!) bathrobe.

I’m happy to report that most of my Christmas shopping is DONE!  But for those of you still on the hunt for the perfect gift, I highly recommend you check out the holiday gift guide from Zappos. They’ve got great ideas for stocking stuffers and a huge selection of options under $50 and $100.
