A Little Bit About Me

I always dreamed of coming to NYC and landing a glamorous job in fashion. Instead, I became a technology geek and spent my days talking bits and bytes with IT Directors. Khakis and polos were the uniform de rigueur in my field, but I prefer dresses and high heels. In 2010, I channeled my love of stilettos and the finer things in life into a fashion and lifestyle blog where I could catalog my daily style choices, and share my thoughts and inspirations about fashion, travel, and lifestyle with the rest of the world. This side project quickly grew into a loyal readership base and resulted in numerous collaborations with national brands and publications. The experience also prompted me to start a new career as the Founder and Chief Marketing Strategist at Ideazio, Inc., where I work with companies to develop and implement customized digital marketing solutions.

Today, I am still simply a woman who loves fashion and looking my best with what I’ve got.  I’m known to spend my Saturdays rearranging my shoe collection for fun or trying on different outfits in my closet to create new looks.  Like any frugal fashionista, I appreciate a good bargain. But more importantly, I look for quality and longevity in the items I buy.

Love your blog! Did you design your own page and who takes your creative pictures? Oh and I love the part about about wearing cute flats, I’m on a college campus so heels are not an option for everyday basis.

Check out my blog please at http://ramencouture.blogspot.com/

    • Yes, I designed the blog myself. My husband usually helps me snap pics and sometimes I do it myself using a tripod and remote. I do all of the post-production processing myself though. I’m glad you enjoyed the post about flats. 🙂

“If I wouldn’t want to be photographed in it, then I probably shouldn’t be wearing it.”

Good rule! I’ll be remembering that! 🙂

    Kendra!

I love your style all around! Your fashion choices are fantastic and your writing voice is warm, engaging and intelligent.
I just spent more than an hour playing with my clothes (trying things on, moving things around, creating “capsule collections” of must-wear-more items I forgot about…and your reference to your Saturday morning shenanigans made me feel a bit less crazy for it.
Thanks for reminding us of these fundamental (but too easy to forget!!!) guidelines for fabulous, authentic style everyday.
You have a new reader. 🙂 Thank you!

    xoxo,

    Hi Kendra,

I’ve been following your blog for a while now and have decided it’s time to revamp my OWN site. That said I’m really digging the layout you have now, especially the navi-bar. That said, do you happen to know/remember who designed this for you? Or better yet, is this DIY?

    • Hi Angela. I’m glad you like the new layout. I designed it myself on WordPress. Good luck with your revamp, and thanks for reading! 🙂
