My husband and I recently took a road trip up the New England coast, and I’ll be sharing pics from our excursions over the next few days. One of our first stops was Mystic, CT where we stayed at the adorable Whaler’s Inn. The rooms were cozy, and it was so refreshing to wake up to the sound of birds chirping (instead of the sirens and car horns I’m usually greeted by in the city). But my favorite part of our stay had to be the steady supply of freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies that the staff kept on hand!
On our first night, we enjoyed a nice relaxing dinner and bottle of wine at the Captain Daniel Packer Inne. The next day, we stepped back into time at the Mystic Seaport. And of course I had to don my new anchor print pants for the occasion. After that we spent a couple of hours at the Mystic Aquarium before settling down for a full on nosh fest at Mystic Pizza. It was such a fun little getaway, and I can’t wait to go back this summer when the weather warms up enough for ice cream and bicycle rides.
